1. Upvc door mechanism faults:

Has the handle become floppy and has very little tension? Does the door only seem to partly unlock? Has the handle jammed? When you lift the handle did you hear a clunk sound?       When you lift the handle when the door is in the open position do all the parts on the edge of the door move, if not you have a mechanism problem?
